Job Description & Primary Responsibilities:
Supply Chain Managers manage the goods, materials, services and/or equipment of either a division of a company or an entire company. They undertake major contract negotiations within the approved pricing policy and establish service programs to match the company’s requirements. Responsibilities: Supply Chain Managers are responsible for working directly with operations/co-packer operations and supply planning to ensure demand and inventory targets are met, undertaking major contract negotiations within the approved pricing policy, contributing to the development of established supply policies and procedures, preparing reports and communicating inventory measurements to management, developing and monitoring distribution requirement plans, working closely with sales, marketing and customer service to identify proactive inventory adjustments Maintain documentation and operating procedures for demand/supply planning process, participating with contract manufacturing, finance, sales/marketing, research and development and project managers toward new product development and launch, facilitating and recommending re-engineering, best practices and consensus, working closely with plant operations and material managers, and auditing supply companies.
