Soybean Extrusion Plant Operator

Job description & Primary Responsibilities

Soybean Extrusion Plant Operators are in charge of overseeing the process of extracting soy oil from the beans.  They use computers to monitor the machines and equipement, as well as be capable of repairing anything that is damaged or worn down.  

Responsibilities: Monitoring soybean inventory levels, speed of the equipment, and overall functionality of the plant are all responsibilities of Soybean Extrusion Plant Operators.  They also have to make repairs on and/or change out worn down or broken equipment.  These employees are notified of any issues by a computer alarm system and must have an understanding of how to use the plant's software.
