Job Description and overview
A Seed Sales Representative is a sales and customer relations professional within the agricultural industry who serves as a key connection between seed companies and agricultural producers. The role typically combines agricultural knowledge, industry expertise, and business development skills to support the company's growth and maintain strong relationships within the farming community.
Responsibilities: Seed Sales Representative are responsible for providing support and knowledge of their agronomic products to customers. Their main goal is to sell those products either to retail or wholesale outlets. They also oversee new staff and train them in while being responsible for their own territorial sales. Additionally, they are responsible for marketing specific products and agronomic services to clients such as fertilizer, chemicals and/or seed. Seed Sales Representatives also organize or act as the liaison between the company and farmers to organize trial programs and assist with analyzing and reporting results.
