Camille Michon is the 2025 summer Nonpoint Source Management Intern with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection’s Bureau of Watershed Restoration and Nonpoint Source Management. A rising senior at Villanova University, Camille is majoring in Environmental Science with minors in Global Health and Sustainability Studies. Originally from Nashua, New Hampshire, she is passionate about the intersection of environmental and human health and how that relationship impacts both people and ecosystems. At her internship, Camille has been involved in the Growing Greener Plus Grant program, translating project information into GIS, and visiting Best Management Practices (BMPs) across Pennsylvania that help protect and improve the health of local watersheds. She has also enjoyed spending time in Harrisburg, which has provided a valuable opportunity to see firsthand how environmental protection and policymaking are deeply connected. Camille hopes to continue her work in protecting Earth’s resources by helping create a more sustainable and resilient world—through collaboration with diverse stakeholders and the development of effective environmental policy.

My name is Holly Harvatine. I am a sophomore at Delaware Valley University, majoring in Agribusiness, specialized in Dairy, Livestock, and Equine. I am from Northeastern Pennsylvania, calling Susquehanna County my home. My family owns and operates a commercial red angus beef cattle operation. I was heavily involved in 4-H for 13 years exhibiting market steers, hogs, lambs, goats, breeding beef, and completing various officer positions at a club level. I was also involved in the Susquehanna County Dairy Princess and Promotion Program for 6 years. While at college, I am involved in the Collegiate Farm Bureau, Block and Bridle Club, Dairy Society, and Collegiate Cattlemen's Association. This internship has been an amazing opportunity and has fully emerged me into the agriculture industry further!

My name is Sarah Hershey. I am the education intern for the Pennsylvania Friends of Agriculture Foundation. I'm entering my senior year at Delaware Valley University this fall (2025). My major is agribusiness with a specialization in Livestock, Dairy, and Equine. On campus I’m involved with Collegiate Farm Bureau and Sigma Alpha. My out of school activities include working with my FFA pigs. I’ve showed through my 4-H club ever since I was eight years old and now that I aged out I’m involved with my FFA chapter. I showed dairy feeders as well until I moved away to college. During my last year in 4-H, I showed a market steer. I’ve always liked working with my pigs and learning everything about pigs! I hope to pursue a career in the swine industry someday. 4-H and FFA has helped me enjoy educating others about agriculture. I’m excited for all of the opportunities that the PA Ag and Food Careers project has in store for me!
