Job Description & Primary Responsibilities:
Ground Beef Operation Supervisors are vital to daily operations of a meat processing plant. Examples of roles include employee management, administration work, using scanners and computers to track product, and verifying quality and accuracy.
Responsibilities:
Manage and supervise hourly employees
Responsible for the motivation and safety of those employees
Prepare pre-operational paperwork
Ensure area is properly staffed/crewed to meet operational needs
Coach and develop employees to obtain results
Responsible for meeting volume goals, reducing claims, maximizing yields, reducing cost and employee retention
Maintain good working relationships with the Union, USDA and Maintenance employees
Education Requirements:

Agriculture Education
Food Science
Animal Science
Finance
Leadership
Education/Training:
Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science or related field
Two years supervisory experience preferred in a food manufacturing/meat processing setting
