Job Description and ResponsiBILITIES:

Forestry Procurement Managers manages the aspects of timber purchases, harvesting, log purchases, log sales, log grading, and log yard activities. 
Responsibilities: Forestry Procurement Managers are responsible for performing timber cruises to collect data on volume and quality of timber to be purchased. They also plan and maintain adequate log supply for the sawmill. Forestry Managers also negotiate terms and conditions for timber contracts and authorize payments on timber and log purchases. They must maintain a safe working environment following all safety protocols and must oversee employees and assist with training as needed.
