Job Description & Primary Responsibilities:

Food Materials Planners will plan, schedule and handle raw material needed for production. In this role, you will handle material movement with purchasing, warehouse and production areas and handle to established raw material inventory target levels.

Responsibilities: 
  • Assist in setting material requirements planning metrics targets.
  • Create and publish a material requirements plan based on the published master supply plan.
  • Provide necessary input to master planner for assigned product or location.
  • Maintain data relevant to material requirements planning activities including sourcing and replenishment, supplier, planning calendar, material and location data.
  • Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

Education Requirements:

Recommended High School Courses:
  • Supply chain management
  • Food Science
  • Business
  • Mathematics
  • Agriculture Education
Education/Training:
  • High School Diploma
  • Bachelor's Degree in supply chain management or a related field
  • Computer skills (Excel)
