Job Description & Primary Responsibilities:

Game wardens are government positions that can be held both through the state and federally. They must enforce hunting and fishing laws throughout their assigned territory. They also must complete investigations and interrogations for wildlife related crimes in their assigned area. Game wardens may also educate the public about their local wildlife and create programs for these events. 

Responsibilities: Game wardens must patrol their territory for illegal activities. If discovered, they must confiscate illegal items, and write fines and violations for crimes. Game wardens help with licensing for hunting and fishing and check hunters to ensure that they have the proper tags. They must ensure that environmental laws and regulations are maintained. Additionally, they must create educational programs for wildlife education events.
