Job Description & Primary Responsibilities:
Business Development Directors ensure that the appropriate communication messages and mediums are used to meet sales targets. They oversee the promotion of a company’s or client’s products or services, including the marketing of existing or new products or services. Additionally, they work with suppliers on training/education, pricing, inventory management, quality of communication pieces, reporting, trade shows coordination and more.
Responsibilities: Business Development Directors are responsible for planning, developing and directing distribution of product, developing and executing marketing programs, developing a marketing strategy for the organization, internal and external communications, coordinating and executing special events, working with suppliers to ensure distribution programs, creating incentive programs for sales people and suppliers, monitoring brand performance and using information gained to recommend actions, providing financial analysis and business planning, developing a marketing budget and adhering to outlined expenses, and working with all other functions of the business to carry out business goals.
