Job Description & Primary Responsibilities:

Baseball bat manufacturers plan designs, set up, operate and manage machinery and wooden products. They also work with customers to meet their needs, fill orders, and manage inventory and employees.

Responsibilities: Baseball bat manufacturers are responsible for the set up, programming, operating, or tending computerized or manual woodworking machines, such as drill presses, lathes, shapers, routers, sanders, planers, or wood-nailing machines. They examine finished workpieces for smoothness, shape, angle, depth-of-cut, or conformity to specifications and verify dimensions, and examine raw woodstock for defects and to ensure conformity to size and other specification standards. Baseball bat manufacturers also manage inventory of products and materials to fill orders. Additionally, they communicate with customers based on design features and meet specifications for the customer.​
