Job description and primary responsibilities

Animal nutrition account managers and animal nutritionists listen to their customer’s needs and use that information to formulate a feed that maximizes the animals that consume it.  They must create the best formula to keep the animals healthy while also adhering to customers’ budgets.  These jobs require knowledge in animal health and nutrition, good communication skills, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:
Animal nutrition account managers must commicate with existing clients and locate and recruit potential customers.  They are responsible for ensuring that the financial needs of customers are met and the nutritional needs of their animals are satisfied.  They do this by creating feed formulas that maximize the growth of their customers' livestock.

Education Requirements

Recommended High School Courses:
  • Agricultural Science 
  • Biology
  • Chemistry
  • Economics
  • Intro to Business
Education/Training:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture Science, Animal Science, Animal Nutrition, or related fields
