Agricultural Appraisers complete evaluations and appraisals of real and personal property in an accurate and timely matter. This includes completing environmental inspections, developing and maintaining sale study databases, collecting and maintaining auction information on personal property values. They focus on building strong relationships with customers while also remaining assertive, as their estimate cannot be swayed by other’s opinions.
Responsibilities: Agricultural Appraisers are responsible for coordinating with clients, traveling to meetings, and providing honest appraisals. They can be asked to evaluate farms, business, machinery, and buildings considering factors such as depreciation, value comparisons, replacement costs, and income potential. They will provide written reports that estimate property values, outlining the methods used to assume that value meets standards. Appraisers must analyze data keeping up with all market trends to keep their work relevant.
